If you have ever read any article that I have written about list building, then you have heard me speak about the awesome power that comes with giveaway events.

Before I started building my list, I joined giveaway events as a member only to get the “free stuff”  C’mon I know you are like me, we all love to get free stuff.  But after being invited to join my first event as a contibutor, I put together a gift rather quickly, and my list grew leaps and bounds.

There are numerous benefits to joining these events and giving away a free product.  The first is that if done correctly in order to get your “gift” the visitor must join your list.  The second equally valuable benefit is TRAFFIC.

The more people that come to your site to get your free stuff, is the more people that actually see your items for sale, your one time offer pages, your Adsense links, your affiliate and clickbank links.  I’m sure that you get the idea.
