I know you have all heard that old saying somewhere before…”the money is in the list”  I’m guessing that its true, because although all of the self proclaimed gurus told me to start my mailing list, I waited until I had everything else in place first and started my list last.

Maybe they were right, that explains why I wasn’t making much money Online. 

Now I am concentrating on building my list and it seems to be working quite well.  I have tried numerous things to build my list quickly and nothing was worth bragging about, until now.

You see, I started offering a weekly giveaway….every week I would give my subscribers a new free ebook.  I promoted it every where, it was on all of my download pages, my About Me page on EBay, forum signatures…you get the idea, it was everywhere I could think to promote it.

Well, a few subscribers trickled in each week, but I wasn’t seeing the kind of results that I expected for as much work as I put in it (Return On Investment)

I then tried an opt in for my EBay products on my download page, that just created confusion and emails from buyers saying that they didn’t receive their products after subscribing, they missed the actual download link.  So obviously, that didn’t work and I have since revised all of my download pages.

So what works?  What is the easiest way to get new subscribers? 

I have finally found something that seems to be working wonders, FREE PRODUCT GIVEAWAY EVENTS.

These giveaway events are all the rage and now it seems everyone is holding one now, but believe me when I say, now I know why.

Allow me to put it in perspective for you, the subscribers that I gained after only one of these events is three times the number from my Free Weekly Ebook promotion, which has been Online for three months now.

I have been to numerous giveaways in the past, to snatch up free products.  I have never even considered entering one before, because it seemed so out of reach.  I mean every promoter there was a big name “guru”.  So when I received an email asking me to join one as a Joint Venture Partner, I jumped at the chance.  I threw something together real quick offering a package of 4 free ebooks, all they had to do was give me their name and email address and I would send them right out. 

With that very first giveaway I gained over a hundred new subscribers.
